We hope you all had a good half term & had lots of fun!!! It’s nice to see that all our new children have settled in well and seem happy!! There seems to be a lot of illness about at the moment and we would be happy for the children to stay at home and take time to recover properly- we are not like school and it wouldn’t be a problem if they were off sick, please just text/ring us to let us know.
Car Park safety
We understand that the school gates are not the most reliable but please can you all come through the main school gates at all times and follow the path around to us as we worry that there may be an accident if you allow the children to come across the car park. Thank you for your support with this matter
Policies & Procedures
Please make yourselves aware of these and the other documents on our Parents table just inside the door. We also have a collections diary on the table if anyone other than the named people on your child’s form are to collect them from Pre School.
Treasure Box
We always say that children may bring a toy from home to comfort them or show to their friends (these are normally encouraged to be put in the Treasure box until home time to save them getting lost or broken) but we have some children bringing lots of toys into preschool and there is a lot of fallings out at the moment so could we please ask for just 1 toy to be brought in?
Book people
We have quite a few book clubs leaving items lately but if you wish to order anything could you please leave the money ASAP as we do not carry cash- we sometimes receive commission in books so take a look!!
Christmas clearout
If any of you were thinking of having a clear out before the man in the red suit arrives we would be grateful of any toys that you do not require, as you can imagine ours get a bit of wear & tear. Also if you have any old Christmas tree decorations for our tree we would be grateful.
Old mobile phones The children love to use the mobile phones we have for pretend role play-if anyone has any that have a charger (please NO Sim cards or credit) we would be very grateful.
This half term is always the busiest one with the lead up to Christmas so PLEASE take note of the table for further information as we have lots to plan………
Christmas Performance (Tues 7th Dec)We are going to try to follow last years format and that is- we will have one “show” from 11.45-12.15 so the morning children will stay after their session & the afternoon children will arrive half an hour earlier to take part in the performance. We will then give JUST THE AFTERNOON children lunch when the morning children go home so this way no one loses their 3 hour session. If this sounds confusing just ask us!!
Christmas Party We have one party open to all children on Wed 15th Dec. this will be from 11.30-2.30 (3 hours). We will have a disco/party/food & a visit from “you know who” we try not to ask for anything but will need a few parents to stay & help as we will be over our numbers on that day.
Dates for your diary
Mon 15th-Fri 19th- Pudsey week (Spotty dress up day on Friday)
Tues 7th Dec- Christmas Performance
Wed 15th Dec- Christmas Party
Fri 17th Dec- Break up
